About us
IPUR is a Swedish family-owned company with roots dating back to the 1950s. The business originated from Hjo Bakelit AB and is today run by Mattias Jensen, the third generation of the family to lead the company.
In the 1980s, the company took a new direction when Hans Jensen began developing and casting products in polyurethane. Polyurethane quickly became a central part of the business and has since formed the foundation of IPUR’s specialist expertise in custom moulded polyurethane and tailor-made industrial components.
We began working with customers in the automotive industry at an early stage – a sector that remains one of our largest areas of business today. Through long-term customer relationships and a strong focus on quality, we have built extensive experience in developing durable and functional polyurethane products for demanding industrial environments.

With several decades of experience in polyurethane manufacturing, we have developed a deep understanding of the material’s properties and possibilities. This enables us to quickly assess the most suitable material solution, hardness and design for each specific application.
We support our customers throughout the entire process – from initial idea, material selection and product design to prototyping, tooling and finished production.
Our strength lies in the combination of experience, flexibility and technical expertise. This allows us to develop custom polyurethane solutions with a strong focus on performance, quality, durability and long service life.
PUR-Group
IPUR is a member of PUR-gruppen, a Swedish industry organisation for companies working with polyurethane. Within the organisation, member companies collaborate on topics such as environmental responsibility, safety, information and technical development.
Through our membership, we stay up to date with developments in the polyurethane industry and contribute to joint efforts for the safe, responsible and long-term use of polyurethane.

– For us, there are almost no limits to what can be done with polyurethane. We can manufacture everything from a pair of Crocs to parts for wind turbines. We are more inspired by doing what no one else has done before. We are very familiar with the material and know what works and what doesn't.
For over 50 years, we have helped our customers with experience, curiosity, and knowledge.
It is thanks to our long experience, great curiosity, and both broad and deep knowledge that we succeed and remain leaders in our field. Even though we have many years and hundreds of projects behind us, we are still challenged and inspired to develop new solutions every day.
